Capsool Community Guidelines

The following short set of guidelines is important to you. Please read them. Your use of Capsool is subject to these guidelines and terms of service
In short:

1. Having a healthy community is one of the ways we make sure all the messages get through - so please encourage your friends to join. Digital storage isn't expensive, but we need numbers to make this into a vital social archive and to attract advertisers.
2. Be creative and imaginative. Make the future an inspiring place to be & we'll keep working on the technical features to help you.
3. Keep the ideas coming, keep in touch & keep talking.

Values

Capsool slogan is "All life is here." Be creative!

However, it is important to note:

1. Respect is important. Please respect your fellow Capsool community members and the recipients of your Capsools.
2. The Capsool system should not be used to intentionally cause distress or harm.
3. The Capsool system should not be associated with acts of criminality.

Open and Closed Capsools

The Capsool system is very flexible. There are many ways in which you can share your content or, indeed, keep it private.

1. Capsools can have a public preview that is available throughout its duration.
2. Capsools can open their entire contents to the public after opening.
3. Capsools can open their entire contents to the public for a limited time before closing.

With Capsool, privacy is built-in. Capsool content is always private when it closed. Even, when opened, content can be restricted to an intended recipient only. Previews and all other public features are optional.

You should remember though that Capsool is a public place. Children roam around as do people of all different cultures and nationalities. Remember to respect them. Think about this when making content public. As we say, public features are optional. There are plenty of ways in which you can keep content private, so there are no excuses for making offensive stuff public, are there?

Where there are issues about the public content of a Capsool we reserve the right to write to you about it or, if need be, to remove that content. We also keep the right to terminate accounts. We also encourage members of the Capsool community to report any concerns about content to us.

We don't want to be heavy-handed, and we do want you to feel confident that you can express yourself. We don't normally open closed Capsool content. However, in order to protect everybody's rights, we do have powers and we will use them if we have to.

Your Responsibility As A Viewer of Capsool Material

Of course, you also have responsibility as a viewer of Capsool material. You may come across content that doesn't fit with your view of the world, or that expresses the joy, sorrow or other emotions of Capsool users. If you think you are likely to be offended or upset by anything that you see, then please moderate your own use of Capsool or stay away entirely. Respect others and respect yourself.

Legal Restrictions

Capsool Ltd., complies with the legal requirements of the United Kingdom** and all other nations in which it is hosted under contract from Capsool Ltd.

Remember the following:

1. Don't infringe copyright.
2. Don't use Capsool, either directly or indirectly, for anything illegal.

Please be especially careful when uploading content from other sites. As we say, don't infringe copyright. Remember also that some API restrictions mean that Capsool cannot take content from other sites, only provide a link across. Ask yourself if that link is going to work when your Capsool is opened. We don't take responsibility for this.

We Will Respect Your Confidence

The Capsool system is designed for you to work creatively, with confidence and in-confidence. It can be used for private, one-to-one correspondence. We do not open Capsools unless we have to for audit purposes or there are concerns about subject matter discussed in these community guidelines.

Commercial Use of Capsool

The entire Capsool system is not to be used for commercial purposes without the prior permission of Capsool Ltd. Contact us first so that we can check that your commercial use of Capsool is something that we want to be associated with, and so that we can negotiate terms and conditions. If we find that you are using Capsool for commercial purposes, including selling your personal curriculum vitae, we reserve the right to delete content or terminate accounts.
